Dorothy J. Wallace

Dorothy Wallace, daughter of the late Kiah and Bertie Wilson Jasper, of Somerset, KY formerly of the Carter Ridge Community, was born in Mintonville, KY on March 16, 1929 and departed this life on Thursday, February 16, 2006 having attained the age of 76 years. She was united in marriage to Mr. Hart Wallace on August 1, 1946; he preceded her in death on April 3, 1996. Survivors include; one daughter, Sharon McGowan of the Carter Ridge Community; two sons, Hart Wallace and his wife Terri of Liberty, KY and Kennie Wallace and his wife Karen of the Carter Ridge Community; four grandchildren, Allan McGowan, Susan McGowan, Gary Wallace and Jaime Stephens; one step-grandchild, Michael Wallace; one brother, Elza Jasper and his wife Margaret; and one sister, Ruth Cravens. Also surviving; are two great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Dorothy adhered to the Baptist faith. She was a member of the Carter Ridge Baptist Church; she was also a homemaker, and a farmer. She will be deeply missed by all who came to know her, she leaves a host of relatives, friends and church family who both mourn her passing and celebrate her home going. Funeral services will be held at Pulaski Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 20, 2006 with at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Owens officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens. The family of Mrs. Dorothy Wallace will receive friends at Pulaski Funeral Home from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, February 19, 2006 at the funeral home. Pulaski Funeral Home is entrusted with all funeral arrangements.
