Mr. Lawrence Burton, son of the late Joseph Clark and Beatrice Denham Burton, was born at Somerset, KY March 10, 1934 and he departed this life on February 14, 2017 having attained the age of 82 years.Other than his parents, he was also preceded in death by; one son, Lawrence Patrick Burton; two sisters, Lucille Burton, and Delores Jean Carrender; one brother, Howard Burton, two brothers-in-law, Charles Carrender, and Mark Hail; and one niece, Cindy.Survivors include; two sons, Tom Burton, and Tim Burton; two daughters, Angela Burton O’Neill, and Tina (and Chris) Albright; two sisters, Doris Hail, and Margie (and Joe) Brumfield; the following grandchildren, Lance, Sarah, Joseph, Erica (and Wes) Spence, Christopher O’Neill, Steven O’Neill, Meghan O’Neill, Josie Burton, Nicholas Burton, Lili Burton, Chelsea Albright, Gared Albright, and Carson Albright; the following great grandchildren, Chase Pattillo, Isabella Liberty Burton, Alex Davis and Hayden Spence; and the following nieces and nephews, Alan Carrender, Mike Hail, Sarah Burton, Joayne Keltner, Mark Brumfield, and Shawn Rogers.Lawrence was a Cold War Era army veteran stationed in Europe. While in the military he served with the military Army Security Agency where he was a cryptologist. He also played fast pitch softball with the 5th corp. softball league. He was a huge Red Sox fan, and an avid UK fan. He enjoyed being with family and friends and was also known as a doting grandfather. He was a kind person and will be missed by all who knew him.A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2017 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Brumfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Mill Springs National Cemetery.In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Jabez Church of God.The family of Mr. Lawrence Burton will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home on Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 11:00 a.m. Friday until time for services. All friends are welcome to attend.Military honors will be conducted at the Mill Springs National Cemetery by the American Legion Post # 38.Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family of Mr. Lawrence Burton.
