Mildred Melenee Roberts

Mildred "Melenee" Roberts, 93, of Somerset, KY passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at the Rockcastle Nursing and Rehab Center in Brodhead, KY. She was born in Gilpin, KY on April 24, 1923, daughter of the late Coleman and Ruby (Gilpin) Hatter. She was united in marriage to Raymond Roberts on November 9, 1941.Melenee was a member of Duke Memorial Baptist Church where she was an active participant in the church choir. She was a woman of deep faith whose kind, gentle demeanor touched the lives of many.Melenee worked at Wrights Aircraft in Cincinnati, Ohio during WWII and then at General Electric in Somerset until her retirement. She is survived by two sons, Steve and (Joanne) Roberts of Franklin, MA, Joey and (Maggie) Roberts of Jesup, GA, a brother Vernon Hatter of West Chester, OH; a sister Vel Snyder both of Hamilton, OH, two grandchildren, Casey (Roberts) Dalton, Cammy (Roberts) Debord and three great grandchildren. Melenee was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, who died on March 1, 1978, her parents, one son, Gary, who died in 1963, brothers Melvin, Herman and Carlos Hatter and sisters Maureen Ellison and Josephine Henderson. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home.Burial will be in Trace Fork Cemetery in Casey Co.The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Trace Fork Baptist Church Cemetery Fund C/O Christine Cravens, 320 Cravens Hollow Rd. Liberty, Kentucky 42539. Visitation for Mildred Melenee Roberts will be after 10 AM, Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Pulaski Funeral Home.Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
