Cordia Elizabeth Hargis

Cordia Elizabeth Hargis, age 87, died Saturday, January 23, at Britthaven. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ebert and Lela Hargis, a brother; Fred Hargis, a sister; Edna Hill, and a niece; Jeanatta Hargis. Survivors include a sister; Alberta Dick, a brother; Robert (and Laura) Hargis, nieces and nephews Rodney (and Donna) McFall, David Dick, Sharon Murphy, Mark (and Debbie) Hargis, Robert (and Jo Ann) Hill, and great-nieces and nephews; Joanna Lankford, Ashley Murphy, Aaron Murphy, Adam Murphy, Kelly Bowling, and Craig Hill. Also surviving is the following great-great nieces and a nephew include Audrey and Jack Lankford and Sarah Elizabeth Hill. Cordia was employed at Palm Beach for 43 years, and upon retirement, she work as a substitute in the Pulaski County School System’s lunchrooms and as a substitute aide. She was a wonderful cook and was known for her kindness and generosity to others. Funeral services for Mrs. Hargis will be held Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Butte officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services at the funeral home.
