Harold Hargis

Mr. Harold Hargis the son of the late Walter and Golda Speaks Hargis was born at Ula Kentucky on July 18,1934 and departed this life at his home on March 11,2010 , having attained the age of 75 years. Harold was united in marriage to Betty Barnes Hargis on March 20,1962 in Jellico TN, she survives. He is survived by One son; Harold Gene (Shelly) Hargis of Somerset, one step daughter Elizabeth Hughes of Somerset, four grand sons: Koby, Konner, Kameryn, Kade Hargis all of Somerset, seven sisters: Gladys (Clell) Whitaker, Ella B. Phelps, Violet Hargis, Christine (Carlos) Hargis , Nadine (Wayne Lee) Phelps, Jetta (Wayne) Richardson all of Somerset and Imogene (Arnold) Stogsdill of Stanford, KY, two sister -in-law’s; Mavis Hargis and Joann Hargis of Somerset and a host of relatives and friends who mourn his passing. Harold was preceded in death by his parents ,one sister ;Vera Hargis, two brothers; Howard Hargis and Wayne Hargis. He was a farmer and a member of the Whetstone Baptist Church.
