Albie Juanita Herald

Albie “Juanita” Herald, Somerset, died November 1st, 2020, at the Neighborhood Nursing Home. 

Juanita was born May 1st, 1930 to Frank and Ina Harper.  She was born and raised in the Stab, KY area where she attended Shopville High School.  After graduation she married Edward Lee Woodall moving to Indianapolis, IN, where they had one son, before divorcing shortly thereafter.  Juanita married MacDawson Herald in 1967, continuing to live in Indianapolis before returning to KY, living serval years in Brownsville until finally moving back to Somerset.

Juanita worked and retired after 20 years, from Indianapolis based Western Electric as a line operator.  She was a former member of Eastern Star, loved spending time with her family, shopping, traveling, square dancing, was an avid bowler, loyal Nascar fan especially to “#3 Earnhardt”, playing cards, and especially playing bingo with her friends at the Neighborhood.

Juanita is survived by her son Lynn & (Kathy) Woodall, of Mandan, ND., two grandchildren Amy & (Russ) Meyer, Gig Harbor, WA., Brian Ricker, Mandan, ND.; three great-grandchildren, Elise, Leland and Gus Meyer, Gig Harbor, WA.; a sister, Agnes Patterson, Cincinnati, OH., and baby brother Donald (Nettie) Harper, Somerset, KY.; and her many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

She was preceded in death by her husband MacDawson Herald; parents, Frank and Ina Harper; siblings, Rusey, Arnold, and Dean Harper.

The family is forever grateful to the staff of the Neighborhood for the loving care they provided to her when she needed them the most!

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM EST Friday, November 6th at the Randall Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to your favorite charities.
