Alice Fitzgerald

Alice Fitzgerald, age 86, of Burnside, Ky. passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025, at the Jean Waddle Care Center.

Alice was born on August 19, 1939 in Somerset, Kentucky to Paul and Maybelle Walden Barnes. She grew up in Burnside, Kentucky and was a graduate of Burnside High School where she was a cheerleader. She married Oscar Lee Fitzgerald on September 5, 1958 in Jellico, Tennessee. Together they had six children. They were married for forty one years before Oscar passed away in 1999. She was proud parent, grandparent and great grandparent and she made sure she attended all of their games and competitions so she could cheer them on. She will be remembered as being a proud supporter of Pulaski County and Saline Christian Academy Athletics, which was something she loved with her whole heart.
She was a member of West Bronston Baptist Church which she attended as long as her health allowed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar, her husband and one son, Paul Conley Fitzgerald, as well as one brother and a sister.

She is survived by her children Debra Ann Mills, Jennifer Lee Claunch, Oscar Lee Fitzgerald Jr., Bridgette Ann Fitzgerald and Christopher Louis Fitzgerald, her grandchildren, Daniel Mills, Jonathan Mills, Jerusha Mills, Amiee Mills, Sarah Reynolds, Benjamin Mills, Kyle Carr, Jordan Rios, Samantha Nixon, Steven Fitzgerald, Brianna Poynter, Juliana May, Camden Fitzgerald, Brooke Fitzgerald and Cameron Fitzgerald, her 18 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, as well as her niece Stacey Lovell.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm Wednesday, November 26, 2025 in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM in the Burnside Cemetery, Burnside , Kentucky, with Bro. James Mills officiating.

She will be laid to rest following the service. The pallbearers will be Jonathan Mills, Kyle Carr, Tylor Mills, Ethan Mills, Camden Fitzgerald and Steven Fitzgerald.
