Anna Lee Haynes, age 82, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024 at her residence in Somerset, Kentucky.
Born on November 9, 1941, in Wayne County, Kentucky to the late Virgil and Nannie (Neeley) Bray, Anna led a remarkable life filled with love, compassion, and dedication. Anna's career as a caregiver at Oakwood was nothing short of exceptional. Her nurturing nature and genuine dedication to helping others made a profound impact on the lives of all those she cared for. She approached her work with empathy and kindness, creating a safe and comforting environment for those in need. Beyond her professional life, Anna possessed an array of interests and hobbies that brought immense joy to her life. She had a talent for quilting, capturing the beauty and warmth of the world through vibrant patterns and intricate stitches. In addition to quilting, Anna had an innate artistic flair that extended into painting and drawing. Her creativity knew no bounds as she transformed blank canvases into captivating works of art. Anna also nurtured a passion for gardening flowers. Baking was yet another realm where Anna showcased her expertise. Family and friends were lucky recipients of her delectable treats. Anna Lee Haynes will forever be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for others. She leaves behind cherished memories that will be treasured by all who knew her.
Anna is survived by two sons, Luke & (Holly) Haynes of Somerset, and Albert & (Barbara) Haynes of Somerset; six grandchildren, Faith & (Mitchell) Speaks, Hope & (Alex) Rodriguez, Destiny Haynes, Marcus Haynes, Heather Gibbs, and Matthew Haynes; nine great-grandchildren, Jose Rodriguez, Lakia Morrow, Lydia Morrow, Jackson Hughes, Patience Haynes, Maya Haynes, Breeann Haynes, Malachi Haynes, and Alexander Wallace; and five siblings, Tom & (Wilma) Bray of Kipton, OH, Mike & (Brenda) Bray of Norwalk, OH, Donna & (Pete) Taylor of Somerset, Eugene Bray of Somerset, and Mary Troxtle of Bronston.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Eugene Haynes; two sons, Mark Haynes and Virgil Matt Haynes; and six siblings, Brenda Sue, Faye, Wilma, Bill, Bob, and Ken.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 12:00 PM in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Tim Ogle officiating.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until time for services.
Burial will follow in Tateville Cemetery.
