Barbara Ellen Carter (Kirby, Hunt), 91, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday April 27, 2024. She was born in Rockcastle County, Kentucky May 7, 1932.
She was preceded in death by parents William and Mary Kirby, first husband Andrew Hunt, second husband Barney Carter, and her daughter Mary Fisher. She is survived by her grandson Jesse (and Danielle) Fisher and her great-granddaughter Trinity Fisher.
Barbara will be remembered for her endearing stubbornness, her warm heart, love for her family and God, and her ability to fry chicken. She was a wonderful woman who will be dearly missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing her. We are grateful for all the time we were able to spend with her, and mourn her passing. Family viewing will take place at Pulaski Funeral Home in Somerset, KY on May 2, 2024 at 11:00 am. Followed by a graveside service shortly after.
