Betty LaFavers

Betty LaFavers, 78, of Arlington, Virginia passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021.

She was born in Kentucky on December 14, 1942; daughter of the late, Etsy M. and Elsa Mae Walters LaFavers.

She is survived by her long time companion, Bill Evans; two sisters, Evelyn Joyce Copely, and Carol Bell LaFavers; a sister-in-law, Linda LaFavers; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jerry LaFavers, and a sister, Mary Ann Elliott.
Upon Graduation from High School, she went to work for Les Gay, a local attorney at that time. She later took a position with the Bluegrass Army Depot, where she was later transferred to the Pentagon. She remained employed there for a period of 40 plus years where she retired as a Weapon Systems Analyst.

She enjoyed Golf, Tennis and she was an avid cross country skier.

Private services will be held.

Interment will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
