Charlene Reedy Cundiff

Charlene Reedy Cundiff, 87, of North Highway 1247 Somerset, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Somerset Nursing & Rehab.

She was born on May 22, 1933, at Dahl, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Cora Harper Reedy. She was married to her beloved husband, Eugene M. Cundiff on September 3, 1966. He preceded her in death on December 14, 2003.

She is survived by, one brother, Larry Reedy of Franklin, OH; one sister, Hazel Sandlin of London; two sons, Steven M. & (Jenny) Cundiff; and David E. & (Christina) Cundiff; eight grandchildren, Amanda Cundiff, Craig Cundiff, Melinda & (Nick) Frietch, Aaron Cundiff, Hannah Cundiff, Christa Burton, Marcus & (Letitia) Cundiff, and Brandi Johnson; six great-grandchildren, Victor Johnson, Wyatt Burton, Mason Johnson,Garrett Burton, Payton Cundiff, and Regi Dayle Cundiff; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sons, Lindsey Cundiff and Daniel Cundiff; three sisters, Lottie "Dot" Taylor, Lennie Roseberry, and Pearl Cassidy; and a brother, Bill.

Charlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. She loved her Lord, her church and her family. She was saved at the age of 13, she spend the rest of her years serving God, her family, and her church. She was a member of Camp Ground Baptist Church, where she served as a deacon's wife, sunday school teacher, and twenty plus years organizing the "Keenagers" senior adults group for luncheons and trips. She was an avid traveler.

She graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse from Lynchburg General Hospital of Nursing in Lynchburg, VA. She worked many years at Somerset City Hospital and various other places in nursing.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Monday, August 31, 2020 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Dave Muse and Bro. Gerald Ashley officiating.

Burial will be in Somerset Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 PM to 5 PM Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Pulaski Funeral Home.

Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
