Charles C.W. Swan

Charles William (C.W.) Swan, age 40, passed away on December 21, 2020. He was born on November 14, 1980 in Roanoke Virginia. He graduated from Pulaski County High School in Somerset KY in May 1999. He served 5 years active duty as an Airman in the United States Navy. He attained the rank of Petty Officer 1st Class. He continued to serve for 12 years Active Naval Reserves. He graduated from South University of Savannah with a degree in Physical Therapy. He is the son of Charlene and Edwin Swan, brother of Tonya Marie Swan, and brother-in-law of Paul Burns of Louisville. He leaves his beloved German Shepherd, Kimber with his mother and father. C.W. was a kind, funny, gentle, and strong man who loved his family, friends, and country. He was known for his leadership, pranks, Dad jokes, helping people when they were down, and his passion for life. He was one of the best and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital in memory of C.W. Swan. Services for Mr. Swan will be held Friday, May 28, 2021 at Saint Mildred's Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. with services beginning at 11:00 A.M. with an Interment ceremony to follow at Mill Springs National Cemetery which will be performed by the United States Navy Honor Guard.
