Christene Smith

Christene Smith, 88, of Somerset passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Somerset Nursing & Rehab.

She was born on October 5, 1931 in Pulaski Co. She was the daughter of Helen Marie Hood Gregory and Chester A Gregory.

She was married to Raymond Russell Smith on December 10, 1949 at Pleasant Hill and he preceded her in death. She was a member of Ringgold Baptist Church, a housewife, and a member of Waynesburg Chapter 501 order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by a sister, Holly & (Frank) Zilinger of Valpo, IN; and a brother, Charles & (Barbara) Gregory of Chicago, IL.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Edna Kendall of Russell Springs, Judy Ashwith of St. Charles, IL., Charlene Sobi of Russell Springs, and Chester Gregory; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 12 PM Tuesday, September 21, 2020 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Norman Harper officiating.

Burial will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 10:30 AM Tuesday, September 21, 2020 until time for services.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
