Christine Brinkley

Uma Christine Brinkley, age 94 of Hwy 461, joined her husband in Heaven on June 28, 2024 at her home under Hospice Care from a long illness.

She was born in Faubush, Kentucky on June 22, 1930, the daughter of the late Harrison and Jennie Roberts Flynn. She was a dairy farmer and a housewife. She was a kind and gentle person who enjoyed her family and attended the Science Hill Nazarene Church and the Flat Lick Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, William Earl Brinkley, they were united in marriage on October 2, 1965. They had no children of their own, but were active in the lives of other extended family.

Siblings preceding her in death are; Vinnie Roy, Grace Bryan, Clifford Flynn, and Kenneth Flynn, also preceding her in death are the following nieces and nephews, Linda Jo Carr, Joanna Branscum, Nancy Shaner, Mary Ann Burkett, and Donald Flynn.

She is survived by the following nieces and nephews; Priscilla Kelly, Carol Christine (Chris) Flynn, Jennie Lou Flynn, Kenny Flynn, Ronnie Flynn and David Flynn; and the following great nieces and nephews; Teresa Asthon, Francis Hines, Royce McGowan, Rebecca Burkett, Bruce Burkett, Michelle Carr, Brian Kelly, Alicia Skutt, Mark Flynn Shawn Flynn.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Rebecca Burkett and Gerry Lynn Latham for their devoted care given to Christine.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, July 02, 2024 at the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Ashley officiating. Burial will follow in the Brinkley - Bobbitt Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Christine Brinkley will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 10:30 a.m. Tuesday until time for services.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Brinkley - Bobbitt Cemetery Fund c/o Babe Hughes, 230 Babe Blvd., Somerset, KY 42503.
