Clifford Logan, 98, of Columbia, Kentucky, formerly of Burnside, went to Heaven on May 16,

2026.

Clifford was born on November 14, 1927, to the late Hobert Logan and Mamie Fitzgerald Logan. Clifford was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Joyce Bolin Logan, whom he married on February 2, 1951. Joyce passed away on July 5, 2021. He was also preceded in death by his son, Jerry (Donna) Logan, who passed away on May 12, 1985. Also preceding him in death are his siblings, Tressie Terry, Mary Helen Ballou, and Billy Logan.

He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Phelps, and her husband, Jamie Phelps. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Jay Logan (Roger Rutkai), Arraya Phelps, Jerrod Phelps, and Abella Phelps, all of whom affectionately called him "Poppy." He is also survived by his special friends, Patty and Porter Morrow, Jody and Vernon Petrey, and Brandi Perry.

Clifford was an Army veteran who served stateside at the end of World War II. He worked as an electrician alongside his best friend, Charles Evans. After retiring, Clifford spent much of his time fishing with his daughter Tammy. Later in life, he became Constable of the Fifth District. Clifford loved Burnside and his church,Burnside First Baptist, where he attended for 51 years without missing a Sunday School class. He also loved teaching Sunday School as well as singing church hymns. He was also active, enjoying both bicycling and rollerskating. He also enjoyed collecting old money and coins, writing poems that he read on WTLO's Dial-a-Deal, birdwatching, training dogs, watching Gunsmoke, grilling out on the porch, and watching his grandchildren, Arraya, Jerrod, and Abella, play games in the yard.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 22, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home, with the funeral service following at 3:00 p.m., officiated by Brother Clyde Strunk.

Burial will follow at Burnside Cemetery
