Colleen Garland

Obituary for Colleen Garland She was born in Greenwood, Ky January 16,1929 to George and Susie May Bryant. She went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 25, 2022 at the Neighborhood. She married D.J. Garland on July 15,1950. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jimmy Bryant and her husband. She is survived by her brother Roger Bryant and her two children, Dan and Charlene Garland, Becky and Jeff Whitis; her three grandchildren Jason and Heather Whitis, Jillisa and Bill Hawk, and Christy and Andy Hale; by her five great grandchildren Mary Beth Hawk, Brenton Hawk, Lillian Grace Whitis, Sydney Hannah Hale and Emery Ann Hale and several nieces and nephews. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, Somerset, KY and a long-time librarian at the Burnside Branch Library. She was dearly loved by her family and friends who will miss her smile, love and kindness. Services will be held at the Pulaski Funeral Home on Sunday, February 27 at 3 PM. Visitation for friends and family will be from 1-3 PM. Burial will be in the Burnside Cemetery. Dr. Dan Garland and Bro. Jeff Whitis presiding. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Pulaski County Public Library and/or to Hospice of Lake Cumberland in her memory.
