Darlene Kaye Grant

Darlene Kaye Grant, age 66, passed away peacefully at home, where she felt most comfort and surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, September 22, 2023. Darlene was born August 12, 1957 to her mother, Glenadine Kelley and her father, Wallace Dauber. 

Darlene had been married to her devoted husband, Michael Grant, for 34 years. They had a loving & caring marriage and can count on one hand the number of arguments they had during the beautiful life they shared. 

Darlene will be remembered for the enthusiasm she had for her kids and grandkids. She showed up for every event, every game, every graduation, every single small occasion without hesitation and always being their biggest supporter. She adored her family and they adored her. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her first born son, Richard S. Powell, Jr.

She leaves behind to cherish her wonderful memories her loving husband, Michael; her brothers, Billy & (Evelyn) Dauber of Somerset, KY; and David Dauber of Adrain, Michigan; her daughters, Tanika Powell (Ryan Lehman) of Dayton, Ohio; and Lexi & (Johnny) Brumley of Somerset, KY; her sons, Michael Grant, Jr (Charity Merritt) of Acworth, Georgia; Anthony Grant (Franki Biundo) of Ann Arbor, Michigan; Joe & (Amanda) Grant of Jackson, Michigan; and Jimmy Grant of Acworth, Georgia; her cherished grandchildren, Haylee Brumley & Austin Countryman, Mickala & Kinley Powell, Dakota Ryan, Reilly & Trey Powell, Anthony Grant, Jr, Ethan Grant, Terron Grant, Joseph Grant and her best staying up all night, video game playing, roller coaster riding buddy, Lillee Marie Brumley.
 
She also leaves behind a host of other family and friends who will miss her dearly.
Darlene was known for her fierce way of loving and while we are deeply saddened by her passing, we choose to focus on the beautiful memories that were made in the time that the good lord allowed us to have her here with us. 

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 28, 2023 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Pulaski Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held Friday, September 29, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Renfro Cemetery.
