David Pitman

David Leon Pitman, Bulldog , as he was known to all of his friends was born on August 30, 1965 in Whitley City, Kentucky. He passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 At Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.

David was hard working, determined and enthusiastic about everything he did especially his softball. His last job was in 2007 where he worked on a farm. He was the type who worked hard and played harder, but he always cared for others and would give you the Shirt off of his back if that's what it took to help you. Even in the last years ,when things were difficult he laughed and gave the people around him reasons to laugh too. He was ornery, tough and resilient, a fighter to the end. David suffered a stroke 17 years ago ,which left him struggling. It was the start of a long journey that would eventually end his life.

David was preceded in death by His father Leo, a brother Eric Pitman, his niece, Jessica Pitman as well as many other family members.

His surviving family are his wife, Sandy, daughters; Sabrina and Brittany, a granddaughter, Ariella as well as numerous family members.

We would Like to give a special thank you to all of David's care givers from Just Family Inc. who went above and beyond to give him care and who became a part of our family.

A celebration of David's life will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Pulaski Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
