Diane Bates

Diane Lynn Bates, 70, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021 at her residence.

She was born in Somerset, Kentucky on January 28, 1951; daughter of Sam Brown, and the late Flora Mae (Hutchison) Brown. She was a retired hair dresser. She enjoyed reading, eating, and talking.

She is survived by her son, Bryan Bates; her father, Sam Brown; siblings, Beverly & (Roger) Gover, Mike & (Christie) Brown, and Vickie Thieneman; niece, Juliane & (Jarrod) Carter; nephews, Douglas & (Lisa) Elliott, Scott Thieneman & (Shari Gatewood); TJ Thieneman, and Mike & (Kara) Brown; special friends, Teddy, Metra, Henrietta, and David Tanner.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Flora Mae (Hutchison) Brown; sister, Tamara Brown; paternal grandparents, Samuel & Nettie Brown; and maternal grandparents, Harry & Zella Hutchison.

A graveside service will be held at 12 PM on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. David Bullock officiating; where burial will follow.
