Donald Curtis Slaughter

Donald Curtis Slaughter, age 71, of Somerset, passed away Monday, October 14, 2019 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

He was born on April 18, 1948 to E. Garfield and Irene Goggins Slaughter. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of South Maple Street Baptist Church. Donald served in the United States Army furing Vietnam, and afterwards her served in the National Guard.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Johnson Slaughter; two sons, Donald T. & (Zoe) Slaughter, and Danny Dwayne Gilmore & (Amanda); two step-daughters, Shirley Marie Gilmore, and Sherry Dana Gilmore; one brother, James Slaughter of Las Vegas, NV; one sister, Linda Slaughter of Somerset; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, E. Garfield and Irene Goggins Slaughter; a daughter, Christy Davis; and a sister-in-law, Veronica Parris Slaughter.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 17, 2019 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Seibert Taylor officiating.

Burial will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery.

Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard.

Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Pulaski Funeral Home.

Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
