Doris Ann Dykes Snell, from Williamsburg, Ohio, died Monday, March 23, 2026, at The

Ashford of Mt. Washington, Cincinnati, Ohio, following a prolonged struggle with

Alzheimer's disease. She was 85.

She was born on September 20, 1940, in Somerset, Kentucky, to Charlie and Ada

Woodall Dykes. She attended Shopville School and was a member of The Providence

Church.

Doris worked at Kahn's Meat Packing Company for 30 years in Cincinnati, Ohio. She

loved to cook and was always ready to prepare a meal for anyone and everyone, much

like her mother, Ada. Doris found joy tending to the flowers in her yard, especially spring

perennials. After retiring, she enjoyed trips to Florida, line dancing, bowling with her

sister Jeanie and other friends from Florida, and visiting with family and friends.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Snell; parents Charlie and Ada

Dykes; brothers James L. Dykes, Jackie Dykes, David Dykes, and sister Marilyn Dykes

Hargis.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Snell Adams (late Ron Adams);

grandson, Eric Snell (Angela), granddaughter, Megan Hall (Justin), granddaughter,

Jessica Wilson (Justin Miller), great-grandsons, Hayden Carter and Liam Miller and

great- granddaughters, Rae Ann Miller and Nova Miller; brother Charles Dykes; sisters

Dean Phelps, Gloria Speaks and Jeanie Hughes, and many other very dear family

members and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Pulaski Funeral Home Friday, April 3, 2026 at 11:00,

followed by the funeral service at 1:00. Service officiated by Pastor Justin Early. She will

be buried next to her husband at Goodwater Cemetery following the service.
