Drusilla Mounce Hail of Somerset passed away February 1, 2026 in London, Kentucky.

She was born on May 28, 1939 to Charlie Frank and Minnie Smiley Mounce in Pulaski County, Kentucky.
Drusilla attended Pulaski County High School from which she graduated as valedictorian of her class in 1957. She married her partner for life, Raymond Hail, on June 1, 1958. From this union two children, Melody and Chris were born.
She was employed by the school system for several years before going to work for Paul's Discount. Drusilla was a devoted pastor's wife, working tirelessly for the Lord in whatever church Raymond was pastoring. She taught Sunday School, cooked for the widows as well as the whole church at Christmas. Her faith was always the center of her life she, along with her husband sang with the local gospel group, The Harmony Five and in later years she became a member of Parkers Mill Baptist Church. She was a hard worker who cared for husband, children and later her grandchildren, as well as other family members who needed her. Drusilla's favorite place to be was in the garden in the summer growing vegetables and tending to her flowers. She will be greatly missed by those that knew her.

Drusilla was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond and one brother, Charles Douglas Mounce.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children; Melody (Evan) Hargis, Chris (Kelli) Hail, her seven grandchildren; Courtney Hargis, Ben (Mary Kate) Hargis, Katie (Dilan) Smith, Caleb (Gabby) Hail, Kelsey (Robert) Reed, Kahki Hail and Kori Hail, six great grandchildren; Silas, Isacc, Rowan and Conor Hargis and Saylor Reed and Lorelei Hail.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Chris Hail officiating.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time for services.

Burial will be in the Somerset Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to The Parker's Mill Road Baptist Church Building Fund, 700 Parker's Mill Road, Somerset, KY. 42501.
