Floyd Jasper

Floyd Taylor "Buster" Jasper, age 87, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away June 14, 2025 at Someerwoods Nursing Center.

Buster was born on September 22, 1937 to the late Raymond and Bonnie (Dunbar) Jasper.

Buster was a skilled carpenter for many years, he enjoyed building houses. He also enjoyed watching Kentucky Basketball, going to the flea market, and spending time with friends. Buster accepted Jesus Christ in his heart two years ago, he was of the baptist faith.

Buster was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Turner Jasper; a step-son, Carlos Miller; his parents, Raymond and Bonnie (Dunbar) Jasper; four siblings, Loretta Brooks, Wendell Jasper, Robert Jasper, and Joyce Brooks.

Buster leaves behind to cherish his memory, seven siblings, Janet & (Harold) Willems of Goodland, IN., Gary Jasper of Lancaster, KY., Helen Tussey of Danville, KY., Cecil Jasper of Willard, OH., Donnie Jasper of Science Hill, David Jasper of Eubank, and Karen & (Carl) Lawless of Somerset. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews; and a special nephew, Brian Jasper, who was his caregiver.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM Friday, June 20, 2025 at Somerset Cemetery with Bro. David Bullock officiating.

In Lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Floyd Jasper Memorial Fund.
