Listen to Obituary

With hearts full of love, we honor the life of Fruquan Vincent Goins, who transitioned on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the age of 44. Though we grieve deeply, we choose to celebrate the joy, laughter, and light he brought into this world.

Born on August 14th, in New York, Kwan grew into a man who touched lives everywhere he went. Whether it was his warm smile, his steady advice, or his ability to make anyone laugh, he had a gift for making people feel cared for.

He spent his life doing what he loved as an entrepreneur, but what truly defined him was the way he loved those around him. He found joy in music, cooking, fixing things, storytelling, and WORKING, but his proudest accomplishment was always his family. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, cousin, uncle, and friend, and every moment with him was a reminder of what love looks like in action.

He is survived by his daughters (Olivia Goins, and Kierra Goins), grand-daughter (Araya Alexander), grandmother (Bertha Goines), sisters (Nataliya Goins, Alethia Vasquez), uncles (Kim Goins, Rorrie Lee), nieces (Tanya Hill, Tanaya Straker), nephews (Messiah Goins, Desmond Romero), cousins (Shea Lee, Gloriana Goines, Severa Goines, Christopher Goines, Xavier Goines, Tyler Goins), mother-in-law (Marjorie Newell), and his extended family (Sonja Cowan, Sonya Newell, Cassandra Newell, Pam perkins, Rebecca Black, Joe Newell, Anthony Newell), as well as many other friends and family who will carry his spirit forward with every story told, every tradition honored, and every laugh shared. He was welcomed into heaven by Tanya Goines (mother) and Rodrigo Goines (uncle).

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Mt Olive Missionary Baptist Church. We invite all who knew and loved him to join us in remembering a man who made this world brighter. Instead of focusing on our sorrow, we will gather in gratitude for the time we were blessed to have him. His legacy is love, and that is something that will never fade.

In Lieu of flowers the family asks that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Furquan Goins Memorial Fund C/O Pulaski Funeral Home, P.O. Box 697, Somerset, KY 42502. or online at https://bit.ly/3IGA6k9.

Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
