Garnett Faye Melton

Garnett Faye Melton, age 90, departed this life on Friday, September 4, 2026, at the Jean Waddle Care Center.

She was born on March 12, 1936, to the late Jasper and Nannie Sumner Combs in Vicco, Kentucky.

She is survived by two sons, Ralph & (Theresa) Melton of Midlothian, Texas, and Harrison Jr. & (Lisa) Melton of Science Hill, Kentucky; one daughter, Roxanna & (Billy) Leaser of Cleburne, Texas; grandchildren, Alicia & (Saul), Chris, Danny & (Patricia), Jon & (Jennifer), Leticia & (Matt), Zachary & (Natalie), Nicolas, Jordan & (Brandi), Jared, Kelly, Halee Faye & (fiance Isaiah); 13 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harrison Melton; and her five sisters.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 10, 2026 at 1:00PM at Beech Grove Church in Science Hill, Kentucky with Bro. Cecil Bowling officiating.

Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:00PM until time for services at Beech Grove Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Beech Grove Cemetery Fund.
