Gary Whitaker

Mr. Gary Whitaker , son of the late Edward Jr. Whitaker and Helen Hinkle Whitaker Harris, was born February 27, 1947 in Indianapolis, IN and he departed this life on Sunday, April 29, 2018 in Cynthiana, KY having attained the age of 71 years.

Gary was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Germany during his tour of duty.

Gary is survived by one Brother, Lewis (and Jean) Harris; two sisters, Melody Brandy Harris and Mary Lou Harris all of Somerset, KY as well as several aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Julia and Roscoe Hinkle and his paternal grandparents, Flonnie and Edgar Whitaker; two brothers, Michael Wayne Whitaker and Stephen Edward Whitaker and one sister, Barbara Jane (and Larry) Maxwell.

The family of Mr. Gary Whitaker would like to give a special thanks to Hospice and all of the staff at Edgemont Health Care for the care and concern given to Gary over the past several years.

A funeral service for Gary Whitaker will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 2018 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in the Sears Cemetery.

The family of Mr. Gary Whitaker will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. Thursday until time for services.
