Harmon Mounce

Harmon L. Mounce, 86, of Somerset, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland, Jean Waddle Care Center. He was born in the Cedar Grove Community on July 29, 1934; son of the late Joseph Wesley Mounce and Lelia (Robinson) Mounce. He worked for Hinkle for 35 years until his retirement. He enjoyed boating, water skiing, working, and spending time with his family. He was a member of First Baptist Church-Burnside, and the Burnside Masonic Lodge #634. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lois Jesseleene Mounce; whom he married on December 13, 1955; two sisters, Doretta Super, and Dorothy Wood and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Wesley Mounce and Lelia (Robinson) Mounce; two sisters, Henrietta "Tiny" Bryant, and Lucille Christian; and two brothers, Everett Mounce, and Arnold "Shorty" Mounce. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Christian officiating. Burial will be in Burnside Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 AM Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at Pulaski Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or a charity of your choice in honor of Harmon Mounce.
