Harold Denver Bumgardner

Harold Denver Bumgardner, 70, of the Elrod Community passed away October 24, 2020 at Rockcastle Regional Hospital.

He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on April 2, 1950; son of the late General Ottis and Gladys Poynter Bumgardner. He farmed throughout his life. Harold grew up and lived on the family farm in the Elrod Community of Pulaski County. He enjoyed walking and visiting his neighbors, going to church, working on the family farm and the farms of his neighbors, going out on excursions with his friends, and going out to eat. He was a member of Elrod Church of God.

He is survived by his sister, Eleanor Jean Bumgardner & (Paul) Morris; two nieces, Veronica Morris (Joe Pat) Covington, and Tammy Bumgardner; two nephews, Greg & (Melissa) Morris, and Jeff Bumgardner; great-nephews, Jacob & (Kellsie) Covington, Caleb Covington, Isaiah Covington; great-nieces, Kyndal Morris, and Katisha Morris; and a sister-in-law, Lois Bumgardner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, General Ottis and Gladys Poynter Bumgardner; and a brother, Cloyd Bumgardner.

The family would like to express a special thanks to the amazing caregivers at Rockcastle Health and Rehabilitation in Broadhead, Kentucky where he enjoyed residing.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Marvin Cromer, Bro. David Pendley, and Bro. Charles Mize officiating.

Burial will be in Bobbitt Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 1 PM Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Pulaski Funeral Home until time for services.
