Harold Ray Hilton, 87, of Lebanon, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026. Born in Mt. Victory, Kentucky, Harold lived a life defined by hard work, determination, and an unwavering devotion to his family and friends. A truck driver by trade and a mechanic by passion, he was known as a man who could fix just about any obstacle. To those who knew him best, there never seemed to be a problem too big for Ray to conquer.
Ray was a passionate motorsports enthusiast who enjoyed NASCAR, drag racing, and anything involving fast cars and powerful engines. He was also an avid fisherman who appreciated the simple pleasures of life and treasured spending time with family, friends, and those he cared most about.
He is survived by his sons, And (Libby) Hilton and Rusty (Debbie) Hilton (and the mother of his children, Lois Slavey); his grandchildren, Daniel Hilton, Teresa Harper, and Michelle Bray; his great-grandchildren, Scarlett Hilton, James Hilton, Colby Cain, Brayden Jackson, Bryson Jackson, Hayley Way, Gage Kendrick, and Trenton Myers; and his great-great-grandson, Tate Klau. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends, including his longtime friend, Kenny White of South Carolina and Vernon Glover of Somerset, KY.
Ray was preceded in death by his fater, James Helton; his mother, Maggie Bolton Helton; and his brothers and sisters, Fred, Elmer, Earl, Dewey, Beulah, Edith, Maude, Linnie, Leota, and Thelma.
To his sons, Ray was always the biggest man in the room, not because of his physical stature, but because of the strength of his character, his resilience, and his ability to face life's challenges head-on. He was known for being stubborn at times, a trait that his family often joked had been passed down through the generations, but it was that determination that helped him build a life of hard-earned respect and admiration. Ray's legacy is the lessons he taught, the memories he created, and the example he set will continue to live on through the generations that follow him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A visitation will be held Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Pulaski Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at the Bolton-Littrell Cemetery in Mt. Victory, Kentucky.
Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
