Hayden C. Waddle

Hayden C. Waddle, 88, of Somerset, passed away on Thursday, December 03, 2020 at his residence.

He was born on March 2, 1932 in Ferguson; son of the late Lovell and Bertha Waddle. He was a retired construction worker, a veteran of the United States Army where he served his county in the Korean conflict, and a member of First Baptist Church of Somerset. He loved his Lord, his family, and his church.

Hayden was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Geneva (Minton) Waddle; a son, Mark Lovell Waddle; and siblings, Jay Waddle, Ernest Waddle, Lovell Waddle, Jr., Rebecca Ping, Bob Waddle, and Jerry (Pete) Waddle.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory sons, Chuck (Sheree) Waddle and Roger (Pam) Waddle; daughters, Vickie Richardson (George Mills, Jr.) and Jennifer (Jim Ed) McClung; grandchildren, Patrick (Naina) Waddle, Brandon (Devin) Waddle, Tyler (Emily) Waddle, Tara Jo (Scott) Price, Craig ( Melanie) Richardson, and Preston (Cami) McClung as well as 15 great grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings Paul Dudley Waddle, Glenna Henderson and Pauline Gilbert all of Somerset, Ky., Carol Blasingame of Cincinnati, Ohio and a sister in law Wilda J. Waddle of Cincinnati, Ohio.

In compliance with COVID-19 guidelines, a private service will be held at First Baptist Church of Somerset on Saturday, December 5, 2020 with a private funeral service to follow with Dr. French B. Harmon officiating.

Burial will follow in the Somerset Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to First Baptist Church of Somerset or Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
