James Robert Foster

James Robert Foster(Jim..Jimbo) age 71 of the Ringgold Community, passed from this life into his eternal home on Tuesday April 7, 2026, at LCRH in Somerset.

He was born in Faubush, KY on October 17, 1954, to the late Dewey & Dorothy Jane (Ard) Foster. Jim graduated from Somerset High School in 1972. He completed a degree in "Tool and Die" in from Somerset Vocational School. He went on to learn Upholstery and became owner and operator of Foster Upholstery on Ringgold Road. His Shop was a place of business ,as well as, a gathering place for friends and family to visit..celebrate with dinners , enjoy family music ..and hold Backwood Sportsman Club meetings. Jim was First District Constable for several terms. He was a faithful and devoted member of the Ringgold Methodist Church.

Jim loved nature, camping, especially Deer Camp on the Creek, fishing, and hunting with his family. He was a member of the Backwoods Sportsman Club and the National Wild Turkey Federation. Jim held a 32nd Degree and was a Mason of the Nancy,KY "Sievers Masonic Lodge # 491", as well as, an Oleika Shriner.

He is survived by his Partner of numerous years, Suzetta Harris(her children Aubrey and Tonya Harris). His son, James Dewey Foster. His daughter called Sissy by him ... Katherine (Shane)Lawson, His Grandsons, James Alex Foster( fiancee Brooke Bailey), Chris Foster(Molly),Ethan Simpson(fiancee Jenna Donbertin), Conner(Tara) Simpson Granddaughters, Sophia(Ben)Clement, Kamber Lawson, Kobe Lawson, and Aaleigha Bailey (Ethan ) Great grandchildren, Colson Lee and Carter James Simpson, and coming soon Sutton Dale Bailey.Two brothers: Delvin(Lois) and Benny( Mary Lou) Foster. 

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Dorothy Ard Foster , Grandparents, Marsh and Edna Ard and Escar and Lecty Foster. Four Sisters, Alfreda(Dale) Stringer, Chestena (Virgil) Childers, Jewell (Curt) Calhoun & Catherine Elouise Foster. 4 brothers, William "Jerry" (Donna) Foster, Delmer "Sam"(Gladys) Foster, Elvin (Katie) Foster and Roger Foster. One nephew, Ricky Calhoun and niece Sheila "Gail" Calhoun Philiips.

Jim leaves behind his family of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends to mourn his passing.

Visitation will be at Pulaski Funeral Home, Monday, April 13, 2026 from 6-9pm & Funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at Pulaski Funeral Home, with Brother David Godby officiating. 

A Masonic Service will be conducted Monday evening at 6:00 PM by Masonic Lodge #491. 

Final resting place will be in Smith Grove Cemetery in Faubush, KY.
