James Garner Massey

James G. Massey passed away at the age of 86. He was born September 22, 1938 in Somerset, Kentucky to Edith Butte Massey and Holly Clarence Massey. Jim died on May 22, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Gerald Massey and Beldy Massey, and a sister, Elsie Massey Marcum. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Harris Massey, a daughter, Jennifer Lynn Massey of Knoxville, Tennessee, and a son, James Douglas Massey of Somerset. 4 grandchildren: Melissa Jones (and Joseph), Megan Norris (and Josh), Trenton Massey, and Haley Massey Smiley (and Zack). 8 great-grandchildren: Sophie Jones, Sadie Jones, Caroline Norris, Levi Norris, Andrew Norris, Alexis Smiley, Asher Smiley and Aaron Smiley.

Jim was a salesman. He always counted it an honor and a privilege, and he looked forward to meeting his clientele and to having a good friendly relationship and the joy he had with them. Most importantly, Jim was a Christian. He was saved at the age of 12 and baptized into the Calvary Baptist Church.

A private service was held at the request of Mr. Massey.

Pulaski Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
