Jeffrey Reed Owens

Jeffrey Reed "Jeff" Owens went home to be with Jesus on August 12th, 2026, at Jean Waddle Care Center. He was born September 22nd, 1963, in Dayton, Ky.

Jeff was a member of Truth Tabernacle Church. He loved Jesus and his church family with his whole heart. It was his greatest desire to serve the Lord faithfully. His most treasured possession was his Bible.

Jeff was a devoted father, a loving husband, and a loyal friend. He loved his family deeply, and his greatest blessings in life were his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He found immense joy in spending time with his family and would do anything for the people he loved.

Jeff was a kindhearted, faithful man. He was humble and enjoyed the simple things in life. Jeff never met a stranger. He loved being outdoors-hunting, fishing, and working as long as his health allowed. He loved nature and found beauty in the smallest things. He also cared deeply for his dog, Max.

Jeff served in the Navy and worked hard as a carpenter majority of his life. He was a perfectionist and very detail-oriented. He took pride in every job he did. He often said it never hurt anyone to help someone. His smile was contagious.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Geraldine "Gerri" Owens; two sons, Jason King and Jordan Owens; one son-in-law, Dejan Marañon; seven grandchildren, Lexi Sumner, Raven Helton, Gracelynn King, Anabella Marañon, Blake Sumner, Carson Roberts, and Cameron Roberts; two great-grandchildren, Preslee Hurd and Kaizen Walls; and one sister, Joyce Romine.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Thurman Reed Owens and Phyllis Ann Crabtree; and a daughter, Kristina Marañon, who went be with Jesus on August 2nd, 2026.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, August 18th, at Pulaski Funeral Home, with Pastor Michael Phillips officiating. The family of Mr. Jeffrey Owens will receive friends at Pulaski Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 18th, 2026, from 4 p.m. until the time of service.

Jeff's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Before Jeff passed he shared with his wife that he wanted to be remembered for his love for Jesus, and that everyone could see Jesus in him. His greatest desire was to be pleasing to the Lord and to win as many souls as possible
