Jo Nell Prather

Jo Nell Prather, August 30th, 1938 – November 16th, 2022 Jo Nell Prather was born to Leonard Pierce and Jerrie (Norfleet) Pierce (both deceased) on August 30th, 1938. She was born and raised in Nancy, Kentucky, as an only child and graduated from Nancy High School in 1956. She and her husband of 46 years, James W. Prather (deceased), had one son, Arthur G. Prather II. She spent her entire life in Pulaski County and never regretted it. To her family, she was known to be a loving and caring wife, mother and granny. She is survived by her son, Arthur, and his wife Tracy, who became more of a daughter to her, than daughter-in-law. Her two Grandchildren, Brent Joseph Prather and Corey Anne Barnhart, were the “apple of her eye” and could do no wrong. Both Grandchildren have wonderful spouses Amanda Prather and Andrew Barnhart, whom she cherished. She was also blessed with three Great-Grandchildren, Christian, Moses and Moria Jo. Surviving extended family includes sisters-in-laws, Margaret Esma Silvers and Mary Faith Bates, as well as, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Her funeral service will be held at Pulaski Funeral Home on Monday, November 21st, 2022. Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm till 1:30 pm, after which, the funeral service will begin. She will be interred next to her dear husband in the Prather-Yanders Cemetery in Towering Hills subdivision immediately following the funeral service.
