Jody Wayne Dotson

Mr. Jody Wayne Dotson, age 69 of Somerset, KY passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Wayne was born on May 29, 1948 to the late Donald and Plumia Blankenship Dotson. Was was the owner of Independent Equipment of Somerset for more than 39 years. Survivors include is wife of 50 years, Linda Copas Dotson of Somerset, KY; two sons, Kevin  and Brent Dotson both of Somerset, KY; three brothers, Garlin and Prentice Dotson of Somerset and Dennis Dotson of Palatka, FL; two sisters, Cleothia Naramore of Lafayette, TN and Waylene Norris of Streetsboro, OH. Wayne was a devoted businessman, a Mason, a Shiner of Oleika Temple of Lexington, KY, a 32 degree Scottish Rite, Lake Cumberland Shrine Club, Lake Cumberland mini monsters, Past Master of Somerset Lodge # 111 F & AM and Seivers Lodge # 491 F & AM and Grand District Deputy. Mr. Dotson adhered to the Baptist Faith, he was a kind person who will be greatly missed by all who knew him and he leaves a host of other relatives and friends who mourn his passing. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 4th, 2018 at the Anderson and Son Funeral Home of Red Boiling Springs, TN. Burial will follow in the Smith Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2018. A Masonic service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Pulaski Funeral Home. The will be a second visitation at the Anderson and Son Funeral Home of Red Boiling Springs, TN from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday evening, January 3, 2018.In lieu of f requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Shriners Childrens Hospital of Lexington, KY.
