John Dewey Sandlin

John Dewey "J.D." Sandlin, son of the late Leonard and Fanny Sparks Sandlin, was born October 31, 1941 in McKee, KY and departed this life on October 25th, 2023 in Somerset, KY having attained the age of 81 years.

 Survivors include several children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother.

John enjoyed fast cars, NASCAR, and the outdoors. He was a small business owner and worked in several ventures during his life. He was a kind person who will be deeply missed and leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn his passing.

An interment and Graveside ceremony will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 31st, 2023 at the Mt. Zion Methodist Church Cemetery in Science Hill, KY with Chaplin Keith McKim officiating.
