Johnny Read Dobbs of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life on Friday, May 9, 2025 at the age of 72.

Johnny was born on August 12th, 1952; son of the late Issac Milton Dobbs and Eva Faye (Denny) Dobbs. Johnny was a happy, caring, family man. He loved and enjoyed taking trips with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Jack, Joe, Carl and Clarence Dobbs; and a bother-in-law, David Howell.

He leaves behind his wife of 45 years, Barbara Dobbs; a daughter, Robyn & (Eddie) Brumley; son, John & (Lisa) Dobbs; grandson, Eddie Brumley, Jr.; a great-granddaughter, Alice Brumley; a sister, Shirley Howell; and two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Dobbs, and Linda Dobbs; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family appreciates and thanks his two nurses, Tammy and Paige with Amedisys as well as Dr. Rachel Shelton and her staff for his care.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. David Harmon officiating.

Burial will be in White Lily Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after 11 AM Wednesday until time for services.

Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard.
