Juanita Swearingen

Juanita Swearingen, daughter of the late Charles and Lottie Henderson Mercer, was born November 21, 1925 and she departed this life on Friday, August 14th, 2026 having attained the age of 100 years. Survivors include six grandchildren, Jared (and Taryn) Swearingen, Jeffery Patterson, Kristy Roberts, Amanda Patterson, Kimberly Langdon all of Somerset, KY and Lori Cousins of Cynthiana, KY; ten great grandchildren, Christopher Price, Sasha Price, Danelle Ray, Dakota Patterson, Jason Patterson, Randall Patterson, Justin Dick, Ryan Dick, Erica Langdon and Braxton Gooden and a host of great great grandchildren.
Other than her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Normal Lester Swearingen; and her son and daughter-in-law; Kenneth (Kenny) Swearingen and Jil Swearingen, and her daughter, Marcella "Marcy" Patterson.
Juanita was a kind and very self sufficient lady who loved with her whole heart. She was a kind person that God blessed with a long life and she leaves a host of relatives who morn her passing.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, August 20th, 2026 at the Mill Springs National Cemetery.
