Karen Sue Crowe, age 63 of Somerset passed away after a long battle with cancer on Tuesday November 8 th , 2022, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.Karen was born on June 11,1959, in Somerset, KY, to Robert and Pauline Abbott Gholson of Science Hill, KY. She married her high school sweetheart, Richard, on October 15, 1976. She previously worked as a Clerk for JCPenney’s before becoming homemaker. Karen recently became a great grandmother and absolutely enjoyed being a grandmother to her 4 grandkids. In her free time, she enjoyed lifting others up in their
times of need. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.Karen is survived by her husband, Richard Crowe, whom she married on October 15, 1976, in Somerset, KY, Her children, Holly (Eric) Polk of Lexington, KY, Melissa Crowe (Chad Abney) of Lexington, KY, One brother, Bobby (Cindy) Gholson of Somerset, KY, 4 grandchildren, Hunter Crowe, Natalie Polk, Sarah Kate Polk, and Hannah Polk, all of Lexington, KY. 1 great grandchild, Liliana Fae Polk. Karen is also survived by many other family and friends. Karen is preceded in death by, her parents, father-in-law, James Crowe of Somerset, and 1 grandchild, Madelyn Crowe.A visitation will be held Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Pulaski Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral Service will be held Monday, 12:00 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Brad Gover Officiating. Burial Will Follow in Mill Springs National Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of Donation to Hospice of Lake Cumberland and American
Cancer Society.
