Kathleen Rogers

May 11, 1924 — June 11, 2021

Kathleen Edwards Rogers, 97, formerly of the Poplarville community, passed away Friday, June 11, 2021, at the home of her daughter in Florence, KY. She was the daughter of the late Johnnie Edwards and Maggie Catherine Waddle Edwards. She was preceded in death by her husband, Coy M. Rogers, two brothers, Bill and Jim Edwards and two sisters, Margaret Atkinson and Elizabeth Finks. Survivors include three daughters, Patricia (Paul) Lasley, Phyllis Dale, Judy (Jim) Flowers and one son, Jeffrey (June) Rogers; also three brothers, Bob (Francis) Edwards, Maurice "Bud” (Donna) Edwards, Kenny (Karen) Edwards, three sisters, Lona Marie Beattie, Doris (Ned) Herald, and Linda Sue (Garnet) Tarter and sister-in-law, Kathleen Edwards. Also surviving are 6 grand children and 10 great grand children, many nieces and nephews, and her two loving caregivers Brenda Kinman and Edie Wittamore. She enjoyed gardening and the art of embroidery. She lived for many years in Lebanon IN where she worked at Commercial Filters, and later retired from Shumate Business Forms. Her kind and selfless personality rose to the surface when a 3 mos old niece needed a home. Cindy Rogers Carter fit right in to the home of Aunt Kat and Uncle Coy.

The family will receive visitors Wednesday, June 16th, from 12:00-2:00 P.M. With funeral to follow at 2:00P.M. at the Pulaski Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at the Goodwater Cemetery.
