Kenneth Swearingen

Kenneth "Kenny" Swearingen, 70, of Somerset, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2025 at his residence.

He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on January 5, 1955; son of Juanita Swearingen and the late Lester Swearingen. Kenny had a deep appreciation for classic muscle cars and could often be found admiring their timeless design and power. A devoted sports enthusiast, he was an especially proud supporter of the University of Kentucky. In his quieter moments, Kenny found great enjoyment on the golf course, where he cherished both the game and the fellowship it brought. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

He is survived by his son, Jared & (Taryn Vito) Swearingen; his mother, Juanita Swearingen.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jil Yahnig Swearingen whom he married on August 6, 1976 and who passed away on August 23, 2019; his father, Lester Swearingen; and a sister, Marcella Patterson.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 Am Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Tanner Cemetery with Bro. Danny Roland officiating.
