Kristina Marañon

Kristina Larae Marañon unexpectedly went home to be with Jesus on August 2, 2026 at her home in Somerset, KY. She was 40 years old, born April 6th, 1986 in Dayton, Ohio. To know Kristina was to love her. She cared deeply for her family and loved with her whole heart. She would do anything for the people she loved. Her greatest blessing was her children and becoming a Gi Gi was undoubtedly the greatest joy of her life. Kaizen became the center of her world. She was a devoted mother, a loving wife, and a loyal friend. She always sought the good in every circumstance. Kristan found immense joy in her recent marriage to her soulmate Dejan on July 25th, 2026. She gained a daughter; Anabella whom she loved dearly. Her smile was contagious and her laughter echoed throughout the room. She had a grateful heart and appreciated the life God afforded her. Kristina worked as a Logistics Coordinator at Bosch Berries. She worked hard and earned the respect she deserved. She cared deeply for her employers, often working alongside them. Kristina is survived by her husband; Dejan Marañon; four sons, Blake Sumner, Carson Roberts, Cameron Roberts and Nathan Taylor; two daughters, Lexi Sumner and Annabella Marañon; one grandson, Kaizen Walls; her parents, Jeff and Gerri Owens; five brothers, Jason King, Jordan Owens, Tristan Perry, Bobby Sulfridge and James Kenady; and one sister, Brandy Lockhart. Kristina was preceded in death by; her grandparents, Murray and Wilma Duncan and uncles, David King, Sr. and Mickey Duncan. A celebration of life service honoring Kristina will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 7th at the Pulaski Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Phillips officiating. The family of Kristina Marañon will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home on Friday August 7th, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until time for services. In Lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy to take the form of donations to Pulaski Funeral Home P.O. Box 697, Somerset, KY 42502 to assist with final expenses.
