Linda L Baker

Peacefully on Sept. 21, 2022, Linda Lee (née Swayne) Baker passed away at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset. She was 76.

Linda’s greatest pleasures came from voraciously reading romance novels, celebrating the holidays with her family, caring for her hens and chicks, talking on the phone for hours with friends from Michigan, and bowling in various leagues.

Born Nov. 28, 1945, in Pontiac, Mich., Linda was the daughter of Robert Lee Gardiner and Rose Mary Swayne. She worked as a pharmacy tech and medical billings manager.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy Baker; and five siblings.
Left behind to mourn her passing are her son William (Tara) Baker of Somerset, Ky.; her daughters, Teresa (Scott) Clough of Lancaster, Ky., and Leah (Hank) Perry of Lexington, Ky.; and grandchildren Eric and Reece Clough, Gabrielle Baker and Kennedy Cohenour.

Funeral services will be conducted at Pulaski County Funeral Home. Burial will follow at
Somerset Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1 and funeral will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org).
