Linda Joyce Vanhook

Linda Joyce Vanhook, 80, of Somerset, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026 at her residence.

She was born in Public, Kentucky, daughter of the late Jesse Everett and Ruby Ella (Price) Burdine. She was a member of Flat Lick Baptist Church. She found great joy in flowers and gardening, and took pride in her canning. She also enjoyed shopping and outings, and treasured every opportunity to spend time with those she loved. Above all, her family was her greatest blessing, and she cherished the moments they shared together.

She is survived by her husband, Hershel Vanhook whom she married on August 7, 1971 her children, Jessica Cook & (Shannon Davidson); Sean & (Becky) Vanhook, and Byron & (Sheena) VanHook; grandchildren, Brianna Cook & (Travis Rickett), Mariah Cook, and Audrey Vanhook; her sister, Judy Poynter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Everett and Ruby Ella (Price) Burdine, a son-in-law, Brian Lee Cook; and two sisters, Sue Janet Moore and Brenda Hibbard-Howard.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Gerald Ashley officiating.

Burial will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after 11 AM Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made through memorial contributions to a fund created in loving honor of Linda Vanhook and her memory.
