Maisie Ellen Cook

Maisie Ellen Cook, age 92, widow of Howard Edward Cook of Somerset, KY passed from this life to her heavenly home on August 03, 2017 at the Jean Waddle Care Center following an extended illness.She was born in Somerset, KY daughter of the late James Alford and Martha Alice Mayfield Glover. She was united in marriage to the late Howard Edward Cook on February 14, 1946 in Somerset, KY. To this union was born one daughter, Sheila Cook.Maisie was a loving wife, mother, and prayer warrior for many family members and friends.Maisie was a member of the Rock Lick Baptist Church where she was active as long as her health would permit. She served as Sunday School teacher and assistant teacher for many years. She also served as WMU secretary and program chairperson for 11 years, writing the WMU program lessons. She loved working VBS and teaching about missions to the children. She enjoyed being a member of the choir and participating in all the choir programs. Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jennie Loveless and three brothers, Riley, Raymond, and Delbert Glover; one brother-in-law, Fred Loveless and three sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Glover, Zada Glover, and Mary Glover as well as several nieces and nephews.She leaves to cherish her precious loving memories, her daughter, Sheila, a sister, Minnie Wells, and special friends, Billy and Edwinna Callahan and many nieces, and nephews that she loved so dearly.A funeral service for Maisie Cook will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 6, 2017 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Brad Gover, and Bro. Joel Patton officiating. Burial will follow in the Rock Lick Cemetery.The family of Mrs. Maisie Cook will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 12:00 noon Sunday until time for services.Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family of Maisie Cook during this time.
