Margie L. Mize, 84 of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Sommerwoods Nursing and Rehab.

She was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky December 23, 1939 to Henry and Edith Childers Mounce. She married Ray Vance Mize in 1967 and they spent the next 18 years together.
Margie had several hobbies, she loved to color, which she was very good at , watching birds. Plants and flowers, reading her bible and watching gospel shows. She enjoyed spending time with her friends at Somerwoods but loved spending time with her family the most.

Margie leaves behind her son, Marty (Karen) Mize, her daughter, Misty (Chris) Dalton, four grandchildren; Tyler Cappon Mize and Sarah Vance Mize and Emily Michelle Dalton and Christina Autumn Rae Dalton, and her sister Joyce Mounce as well as many nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her greatly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Edith Mounce, her husband, Ray Vance Mize, brothers; Harold Mounce, Howard Mounce, and one sister; Mary Baker.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 1, 2024 from 11:00 till 1:00 PM.

Burial will follow at the Piney Grove #1 Cemetery.
