Michael Alan Brumback, 68, of Port Orange, Florida, entered into the presence of his Savior Jesus Christ on September 23, 2025. Michael lived a life marked by faith, humility, and a deep love for both his family and the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife Debra Brumback. Together they have shared nearly 48 years of love, faithfulness, and partnership. He was the devoted Father to his daughter, Toni Michele Brumback-Peltzer (Jonathan) of Debary, FL; and to his son, Alan Michael Brumback (April) of Naples, FL. He was also a proud Grandaddy to Emily, Aaron, Andrew, Anna Brumback, and Cadynce Peltzer-Brown (Shawn). He is also survived by his sister, Deborah Westfall, (James), Mother-in-law, Lois Wilson, Brother-In-Law, Donnie Wilson, and his nieces and nephews, Jeremy Smith, Nicole Bell (Ryan), Katelyn Perkins (Jimmy), and Kameron Wilson. His great nieces and nephews Jordan, Aiden, Briella, Jaxson, Kolton, Kennedy, and Lily.
In is passing he is now reunited with his Father, Allen Brumback (Army) and his brother, Tony Lee Brumback (United States Navy Master Chief) .
Answering God’s call to ministry, Michael was ordained in 1987 at West Somerset Baptist Church in Somerset, KY. Over the course of his pastoral career, he faithfully served churches across Ohio, Kentucky, Arkansas, and Florida from 1987 to 2004. His ministry touched countless lives, always pointing others to the hope and joy found in Jesus Christ.
Those who knew Michael will remember him as a kind and patient man who never made life about himself. His legacy is not only found in the churches he pastored, but also in the lives of his family, friends, and all those who experienced his quiet strength and unwavering faith.
Though his earthly journey has ended, Michael’s influence continues through the family he loved and the gospel he faithfully proclaimed. His life was a testimony to the goodness of God, and his family takes comfort in the promise of a reunion one day in Heaven.
A service celebrating Michael Brumback’s life and ministry will be held at West Somerset Baptist Church in Somerset, KY, on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to West Somerset Baptist Church, in honor of Michael’s lifelong devotion to sharing the gospel.
