Mr. H. C. Lewis

H.C. Lewis, 76, of Somerset passed from this life on Tuesday, November 7, 2017. He was born in the Ringgold community on February 8, 1941, son of the late John C. and Margaret Dalton Lewis. H.C. owned and operated Lewis Upholstery for over 50 years. He enjoyed drinking coffee, talking with friends, classic cars, playing cards, and listening to classic country music. He was united in marriage to Maxine Pevlay Lewis, she survives. Other survivors include; two sisters, Eva Waldrep of Indianapolis and Mary (and Charles) Shepperd of Science Hill; one sister-in-law, Verna Lewis of Somerset; three nephews, David Lewis, of Nashville, Johnny Lewis, of Somerset and Jon Waldrep of Indianapolis; two nieces, Kim (and Roy) Wakeland, of Lexington and Dana (and Dave) Muse of Somerset; three great nephews, one great-niece, one great-great-niece; one step-son, Shannon (and Graziela) Mink and their sons Darius and Warren of Somerset. Other than his parents, he is also preceded in death by one brother, Wheeler Lewis. H.C.  leaves behind a host of friends and family who mourn his passing, including special friend and long-time business partner Zack Adamson and his mother, Christa Adamson. A funeral service for Mr. Lewis will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bros. Lonnie Sewell, Melvin Sisson and Dave Muse officiating. Burial will follow at the West Somerset Baptist Church Cemetery. The family of Mr. H. C. Lewis will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. Saturday until time for services. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family of Mr. H. C. Lewis at this time.
