Alma Willene Farmer, 83, of Hwy 1643 Somerset, Kentucky was called home to heaven on Monday June 24th, 2019. She was born on June 21, 1936. Daughter of Howard C. and Edna E. Van Hook Mounce of White Lily area. She was the loving wife of Everett Marlo Farmer whom she married on November 29, 1957. They celebrated love and life for 61 years and 7 months. She was the loving wonderful Mother of Shirl Lynn Farmer of Somerset, Ky., Kimberly Ann (Eric) Davenport of LaQuinta California, and Everett Michael (Amanda) Farmer of Johns Island, S.C. Alma was blessed with 7 grandchildren, Rickie Michael Casteel of Somerset, Shannon Lynn and Phillip Hughes of Somerset, Cody Graham US Navy, Mackenzie Elizabeth (Mack) Graham of Los Angeles California, Larson Nolen Farmer, Evangelena (Lena), Cecil Caproili all of Johns Island S.C. She was blessed with 4 great grandchildren, Savanna Nicole, Brennon Michael Ray, Aria Grace and Isaac Marlo Hughes all of Somerset. One set of twins, Darby Rose and Sawyer Grace that called her Mamaw. Alma was the oldest of 5 children: Brother, Carl Wayne (Buster) and Carolyn Mounce of Somerset. Sister, Betty Berneice and Russell Hargis, Brother, Howard Denton Mounce and sister, Janet Lynn and Elwin Brinson all of Somerset. Many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a loving Christian and member of Piney Grove # 1 where she and her husband and family attended. She truly loved and was loved by her church family. She was a house wife. Alma loved Bluegrass Gospel music and enjoyed singing with her sisters. She was greeted in heaven by parents, Howard and Edna Mounce, her brother Carl (Buster) Mounce and sister, Betty Hargis and a grandson Gabriel Farmer whom past shortly after birth. She never met a stranger and will be missed by many. Many thanks to those who lovingly cared for her at the UK Markey Cancer Center and many thanks to those at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. A funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2019 at the Pulaski Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2019. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Alma Farmer.
