Pamela S. Marrinan, 84, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away on January 7, 2026 at the Jean Waddle Care Center. Her daughter, Charline misses her so much.
Pamela was born in Dayton, Ohio on December 7, 1941 to Charles and Nadine Center Nicholas.
Pam had the most amazing way of loving people. During the 1980's her and her daughter Charline made their home in Sloans Valley and worshiped at the Good Shepard Catholic Chapel in Whitley City, Kentucky. It was through the Good Shepard Outreach Program that Pam became acquainted with the Sawyer area and the people in the area. Pam shared her incredible skills with arts and crafts in the Vacation Bible School that the Nuns of Good Shepard held in the area and it was through this that she came to know the mothers and grand mothers of the students. When they expressed interest in learning the same skills she was teaching the students she began sharing her talents with them also. These ladies all be came near and dear to Pam's heart. At first they began meeting in the homes of these ladies but soon it was clear that more space was needed. When a family friend paid a visit he saw their need for more space and soon he built a new meeting place that would lovingly be referred to as 'Our House' by members of the community. This space became a place for arts, crafts, food and fellowship but also a space to house volunteers, preachers, and teachers who came work. It was through God and Pam working together that not only was a place of Community and fellowship was built but homes were built for families and needs of the
people in the area were met. Through all of this, a flourishing ministry was created but, Pam never took the credit for any of this - she would tell you, "it's all God"!
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Nadine Nicholas, her husband, John Marrinan, and a Infant daughter, Christine.
Pamela is survived by Her daughter, Charline Marrinan as well as a host of Cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, giving and service to others. She will be greatly missed.
